[News Culture] Lim Young-woong's upcoming concert film, 'IM HERO THE STADIUM 2,' will screen in a four-sided SCREENX format, adding ceiling projection to the usual front and side screens when it opens at CGV theaters in South Korea on November 18.
It marks the first time one of Lim's films has been presented in the expanded format.
A newly released poster, shared on the singer's official social media accounts on October 30, shows Lim performing under red stage lighting before a packed stadium crowd.
The film documents Lim's 2026 stadium concert, held to mark his 10th anniversary as a singer. The show celebrated his decade-long relationship with his fanbase, Youngwoong Sidae, and a career milestone of 1 million cumulative concertgoers.
The four-sided presentation takes advantage of SCREENX technology, extending footage across the theater's front screen, side walls and ceiling. For a concert staged on this scale, the format allows the film to move beyond close-ups of the performer, taking in the stage production and the crowds surrounding it.
The additional projection surface is intended to give viewers a broader perspective on the performance, including the audience participation that has become a hallmark of Lim's live shows.
While concert films have become an established part of Lim's theatrical releases, the new SCREENX presentation offers a different approach to capturing the atmosphere of a stadium show.
'IM HERO THE STADIUM 2' opens nationwide at CGV theaters on November 18.
