[News Culture] EVAN is betting on momentum. The former ENHYPEN member will release his first EP, “DEATH OF ME,” on Sept. 7, barely three months after launching his solo career with “RIDE OR DIE.”
BELIFT LAB confirmed the album on Aug. 10.
Despite its ominous title, “DEATH OF ME” is built around resolve rather than defeat. The album follows EVAN as he wrestles control away from emotions pulling him in different directions and decides where he wants to go next.
That sense of ownership extends behind the scenes. EVAN helped steer the project from start to finish, using the wider canvas of an EP to move beyond the sound he introduced on “RIDE OR DIE.”
The quick turnaround comes after a busy debut stretch that included busking events, cover performances and online challenges. Those appearances kept EVAN visible while giving audiences a closer look at the artist beyond his first single.
He also arrives with encouraging numbers. “RIDE OR DIE” reached No. 1 on iTunes charts in nine countries and topped Tencent Music in China, giving his solo career an early international lift.
EVAN will spend August building toward the release. He is due at the Grammy Museum’s “Spotlight” program in Los Angeles on Aug. 14, followed by KCON LA 2026 on Aug. 16. His schedule also includes the 2026 TIMA ceremony on Aug. 23 and the 2026 K-World Dream Awards on Aug. 27.
