[News Culture] The gloves are off in ‘Made in Korea’ Season 2.

Disney+ has set Sept. 9 as the premiere date for the next chapter of its original noir series, which returns nine years after the events of Season 1.

The new season follows Baek Gi-tae, played by Hyun Bin, as he reemerges from the shadows with his sights set on an even greater prize. Years of restraint have only sharpened his ambition, and this time he appears prepared to sacrifice anything standing in his way.

“I kept my head down, hid my claws and waited for this moment,” Baek Gi-tae says, making clear that his long game is finally entering its most dangerous phase.

Jang Geon-young, played by Jung Woo-sung, also returns after nine years and immediately begins drawing battle lines. He corners Baek Gi-hyeon, played by Woo Do-hwan, with a blunt ultimatum: “Choose a side.”

Baek Gi-tae’s icy response — “You want to go up against me?” — points to a fracture between the brothers that may no longer be repaired. What began as a struggle for influence has now become a fight in which family ties carry little weight.

“This is war. It only ends when one side is dead,” another line warns, setting the tone for a season built around betrayal, survival and irreversible choices.

With every character forced to defend both a personal code and a place in the new order, Season 2 is set to push the drama beyond a simple clash of rivals. Alliances are expected to shift, loyalties will be tested and relationships formed in the first season may collapse under the pressure.

Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il and Noh Jae-won return alongside the lead cast, bringing back the tightly connected ensemble that shaped the first season. Their characters remain entangled in the power struggle, raising the stakes as old grudges and hidden agendas come to the surface.

Anchored by a high-profile cast and a story now operating on a broader scale, ‘Made in Korea’ Season 2 promises a harder, darker confrontation with no easy way out.

The six-episode season will roll out in three installments, with two episodes arriving Sept. 9, followed by two on Sept. 16 and the final two on Sept. 23.
