[News Culture] Jin-man’s untold story is finally out in the open.
Disney+ original series ‘A Shop for Killers’ made its Season 2 return on July 22 with a major escalation in both scale and intensity. The opening two episodes thrust Lee Dong-wook back into the center of the action, moving from a covert infiltration of Babylon to a spectacular battle against a humanoid combat robot.
Episodes 1 and 2 reveal what Jin-man was doing while his niece Ji-an, played by Kim Hye-jun, was fighting off Babylon’s relentless assault. While Ji-an struggled to survive, Jin-man was carrying out a dangerous operation of his own—one designed to strike directly at the heart of the organization.
Jin-man teams up with familiar Murder Help allies Pasin, played by Kim Min, and Jin-woo, played by Kim Yoon-sung, as well as newcomer Cheol-seung, played by Baek Soo-jang. Together, they devise an elaborate operation that sends Jin-man inside Babylon disguised as Bale, played by Cho Han-sun.
What follows makes the series’ ambitions for its second season immediately clear. Jin-man’s encounter with an imposing humanoid combat robot pushes the action into bigger territory, delivering a set piece that feels both more elaborate and more physically intense than what came before.
The real fireworks arrive when Jin-man finally comes face-to-face with Bale. Lee Dong-wook and Cho Han-sun tear into a relentless one-on-one fight, turning their long-awaited reunion into one of the opening episodes’ biggest highlights. Fast, brutal and sharply choreographed, the sequence reinforces the stylish action identity that has defined ‘A Shop for Killers.’
The danger, however, is only beginning.
Ji-an had walked away from the shopping mall hoping to reclaim an ordinary life, but that hope quickly begins to unravel when a new force within Babylon emerges. Its arrival signals another major crisis ahead, sending the story into increasingly unpredictable territory.
With Jin-man back in the fight and Babylon expanding its reach, Season 2 has opened on a considerably larger battlefield—and positioned the series for another potential breakout run.
‘A Shop for Killers’ Season 2 consists of eight episodes, with two new episodes released every Wednesday on Disney+.
