[News Culture] Disney+ has confirmed that "Made in Korea" Season 2 will premiere this September, bringing back its acclaimed political noir with higher stakes, shifting alliances and a dangerous new struggle for power.

The first season became Disney+'s most-watched Korean original worldwide following its release last year. Now, the story picks up nine years later as Baek Gi-tae (Hyun Bin) finds that reaching the top is only the beginning of an even more perilous journey. The series has also been recognized by Time as one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of 2026.

The newly unveiled teaser poster presents a striking image of Baek Gi-tae seated alone in an expansive executive office. Although he appears firmly in control, the atmosphere suggests that power has come at a personal cost. His desk nameplate identifying him as "Director Baek Gi-tae" and the slogan, "Remember—we're doing this for our country," hint that patriotism will once again serve as the justification for increasingly dangerous choices.

The teaser trailer widens the scope of the story, revealing a nation edging toward political chaos. It opens with Baek Gi-tae occupying the president's desk and declaring, "I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time," signaling just how far his ambitions have grown.

As the trailer unfolds, a voice warns that "a single decision can change the course of history," before launching into a rapid sequence of political conspiracies, violent confrontations and large-scale action.

A central conflict emerges between Baek Gi-tae and Baek Gi-hyun (Woo Do-hwan), whose relationship has evolved into a direct power struggle. The appearance of military forces challenging the Korean Central Intelligence Agency further raises the stakes, suggesting that multiple factions are now competing for control.

The trailer's biggest reveal comes in its closing moments, when Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung) unexpectedly reappears. Baek Gi-tae's stunned reaction leaves little doubt that old enemies—and unfinished business—will drive the next chapter.

Director Woo Min-ho returns for Season 2 alongside cast members Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Woo Do-hwan, Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il and Noh Jae-won, promising another intense chapter built on political intrigue, suspense and high-impact action.
