[News Culture] "Agent Kim Reactivated" is heading into its final week with its strongest momentum yet. As the story approaches its conclusion, the SBS action drama continues to dominate television ratings at home while extending its global success on Netflix.
Episode 8 drew 23.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 23.1% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea. Its 26.2% peak rating marked a new series record, while the drama once again finished as the highest-rated program in its time slot. It also posted an average 2049 demographic rating of 7.6%, reaching 8.59% at its highest point.
The show's international performance has remained equally impressive. Netflix Tudum ranked "Agent Kim Reactivated" as the platform's No. 1 Non-English TV series for the third consecutive week. It topped the charts in 19 countries and remained in the Top 10 across 73 markets, underscoring its expanding global audience.
At home, the drama continues to lead online conversation. Good Data Corporation's FUNdex named it the most talked-about TV drama for the third straight week, while stars So Ji-sub, Yoon Kyung-ho and Joo Sang-wook all placed among the week's most-discussed actors.
So Ji-sub has also maintained his own momentum, topping Korea's July actor brand reputation rankings as the series continues to perform strongly across broadcast television, streaming and social media.
The latest episode followed Chief Kim (So Ji-sub) as he launched one last mission in hopes of building a peaceful future with his daughter Min-ji (Seo Su-min). Instead, he found himself protecting longtime enemy Lee Eung-ryeong (Lee Jae-yong) after events took an unexpected turn.
Believing someone inside the Special Operations Bureau had betrayed the team, Chief Kim headed to Park Jin-cheol's (Yoon Kyung-ho) hideout. The operation quickly collapsed, leaving both Chief Kim and Min-ji trapped in an increasingly dangerous situation.
According to the production team, the final two episodes will bring every major rivalry and unresolved relationship to its breaking point, combining large-scale action with unexpected twists as the story reaches its conclusion.
Episode 9 airs on July 24 at 9:50 p.m. (KST). Special broadcasts will follow on July 31 and Aug. 1.
