[News Culture] Disney+'s hit action series A Shop for Killers returns today with its second season, bringing bigger action set pieces, higher stakes and a new chapter in the story of Ji-an and Jin-man.
Premiering on July 22, Season 2 follows Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun), who has completed her brutal succession training and taken over as the new head of the shopping mall organization. Reunited with the unexpectedly returned Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook), she joins forces with him to wage an all-out counterattack against the global criminal network known as Babylon.
The new season centers on Jin-man and Ji-an as they fight to protect everything they hold dear. After uncovering the truth behind Jin-man's connection to the mysterious shopping mall, Ji-an longs to leave it all behind and live an ordinary life. But Babylon identifies her as Jin-man's greatest vulnerability and plots to use her as bait.
Realizing there is no escape from her fate, Ji-an accepts her role and steps forward as the new leader of Murder Help, preparing for a war she can no longer avoid.
Ji-an's declaration, "I'm never going to become like Jung Jin-man. Never," underscores her determination to protect the people she cares about while forging her own path. The season pairs that emotional resolve with an expanded slate of stylish action sequences.
As Babylon tightens its grip, Ji-an is pushed to her limits, while the usually composed Jin-man breaks character with a desperate command: "Protect Jung Ji-an. Now!" The emotional outburst hints at the unpredictable conflicts awaiting the pair.
Episodes 1 and 2 of A Shop for Killers Season 2 premiere today on Disney+. Two new episodes will be released every Wednesday, for a total of eight episodes.
