MBN and Channel S variety show "Moo No Plan Season 4" traveled to Sacheon this week, where hosts Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) teamed up with "Unknown Legend" finalists Seongri, Haru and Jang Han-byul for a memorable culinary road trip.
Episode 3, which aired July 17, took the group to some of Sacheon's best-kept local restaurants, serving everything from spicy stir-fried octopus and traditional Sichuan-style Chinese cuisine to seafood at a beloved neighborhood late-night eatery.
The trip got off to an unexpected start.
Their first destination, a well-known monkfish soup restaurant, declined to allow filming, forcing the cast to quickly change plans. The setback soon turned into another memorable moment when the owner of a nearby stir-fried octopus restaurant recognized Seongri and welcomed the production inside.
The fiery octopus dish immediately became the center of attention as the group put their spice tolerance to the test. While KwakTube joked that he might have to skip the meal altogether, Seongri kept everyone laughing with his easygoing humor.
The food tour continued at a Chinese restaurant established in 1953, where the cast sampled the restaurant's signature Sichuan-style sweet-and-sour pork. Haru praised the distinctive recipe, while Jang Han-byul impressed everyone with his appetite, earning praise as the episode's breakout foodie.
Beyond the food, the episode also highlighted the guests' personal stories.
Jang Han-byul revealed that he had studied dentistry in Australia for two years before deciding to pursue a music career. He shared that his father had encouraged him to attend dental school before supporting his dream of becoming a singer, but admitted he never stopped thinking about music.
He also recalled receiving his first message from his father saying he was proud of him after appearing on "Unknown Legend," describing it as one of the most meaningful moments of his career.
Later, Seongri, Haru and Jang Han-byul treated diners to an impromptu performance, singing classic hits by legendary Korean artists and drawing warm applause from everyone in the restaurant.
The final stop brought the group to a traditional silbi restaurant, where an abundant seafood feast—including squid, skate salad, steamed tongue sole, sliced raw fish, grilled eel and clam soup—provided the backdrop for more heartfelt conversations.
Haru reflected on battling gastroenteritis before the "Unknown Legend" finale, while Jang Han-byul spoke about his relentless pursuit of perfection, saying he has never been completely satisfied with any performance during his 15-year career.
When asked how he would spend the competition's prize money, Seongri said his first priority would be taking his family on vacation.
"We've never really traveled together as a family," he said, adding that he hopes to visit Jeju Island with them one day.
The episode wrapped up with the trio performing a playful parody of the classic hit "Saturday Night" by changing the lyrics to "Friday Is Better With Jun Hyun-moo," before previewing Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube's next culinary destination in Hapcheon.
