Disney's live-action Moana held onto the top spot at the South Korean box office on Tuesday, but the market's attention has shifted decisively to Hope, which surpassed 600,000 advance ticket sales ahead of its nationwide opening on July 15.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), Moana sold 25,967 tickets on July 14, marking its seventh consecutive day atop the daily box office. Its cumulative admissions climbed to 566,520.
The Disney release has maintained a steady hold on the market during its first week, though its daily admissions are now running close to those of the strongest local holdover.

Toy Story 5 held third place with 17,149 admissions, lifting its cumulative total to 2,615,194.
Colony remained fourth after adding 5,977 admissions, bringing its cumulative total to 5,926,402.
The infection thriller stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok and Ko Soo.
Animated feature David rounded out the top five with 5,797 admissions, increasing its cumulative total to 86,580.
Ahead of its July 15 launch, Hope had surpassed 600,000 advance ticket sales as of 8 a.m., underscoring extraordinary demand for director Na Hong-jin's first feature since The Wailing. Starring Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung and Jung Ho-yeon, the film is widely expected to reshape the Korean box office upon release.
