KATSEYE is heading to movie theaters around the world with its first feature-length documentary.
HYBE and Geffen Records announced on July 8 (local time) that KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS will open in cinemas worldwide beginning Aug. 12, giving audiences an inside look at the group's rise from The Debut: Dream Academy to one of pop's fastest-growing new acts.
The documentary arrives just two days before the release of KATSEYE's third EP, WILD, and follows the group's journey from aspiring performers to an internationally recognized act. Along the way, it captures the challenges, pressure and defining moments behind their success.
Directed by Nadia Hallgren (Becoming), the film reunites the creative team behind Netflix's Pop Star Academy. The documentary combines never-before-seen footage, new interviews and videos submitted by fans, reflecting the film's message as "A Love Letter to the EYEKONS."
Rather than launching on a streaming platform, WILD HEARTS is heading straight to theaters worldwide—a rare rollout that reflects the group's rapidly expanding international audience and the strength of its global fan community.
The release also marks another milestone for KATSEYE as the group continues to bridge the K-pop training system with the broader global music industry, further cementing its place among the genre's newest international success stories.
KATSEYE will release its third EP WILD on Aug. 14 before continuing its sold-out North American and European tour.
