Disney+ original series Made in Korea picked up two honors at the 2026 Global OTT Awards, with director Woo Min-ho winning Best Director and Jung Sung-il taking home the award for Best Supporting Actor.
The recognition comes as anticipation builds for the series' second season, which is scheduled to premiere later this year.
Woo received the directing award for the series and used his acceptance speech to thank the cast and crew while highlighting his confidence in lead actor Hyun Bin.
"Made in Korea is set in Busan during the 1970s. Receiving an award at the Global OTT Awards in Busan is a great honor," Woo said. "Most of all, I trusted Hyun Bin. I would like to thank him, as well as all of the actors and staff who worked on this project."
Jung Sung-il won Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of presidential security chief Cheon Seok-jung.
"Made in Korea is a project that means a great deal to me," Jung said. "Congratulations and thank you to everyone receiving awards today."
The series previously ranked as Disney+'s most-watched Korean original released in 2025 across the Asia-Pacific region and also topped the platform's global viewing rankings among Korean originals released that year.
In addition to its commercial success, Made in Korea has earned industry recognition from the Baeksang Arts Awards, the Directors Cut Awards and now the Global OTT Awards.
Season 2 of Made in Korea is slated to premiere in the second half of 2026.
