Disney+ has unveiled new details for the second season of A Shop for Killers, the Korean action thriller that emerged as one of the platform's strongest international performers and earned recognition from both The New York Times and TIME in 2024.
The new season continues the story of Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun), who has assumed control of the covert weapons marketplace known as Murderhelp, while the presumed-dead Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook) re-enters the picture. Their reunion arrives as the organization faces renewed threats from Babylon, a rival mercenary network whose growing influence expands the scale of the conflict beyond the events of the first season.
Season 2 also marks a significant escalation in action design. While the debut season drew attention for its blend of military combat, firearms choreography and close-quarters fighting, the upcoming installment introduces a broader arsenal and more character-specific combat styles, ranging from swordplay to dual-wield combat and hand-to-hand weapon techniques.
The return comes with heightened expectations following the first season's international reception. A Shop for Killers was named among The New York Times' best international television series of 2024 and ranked among TIME's top Korean dramas of the year, helping establish the title as one of Disney+'s most successful Korean originals in the global streaming market.
Disney+ will premiere Season 2 in July.
