For Kim Junsu (XIA), GRAVITY is more than the title of a new album. It is a reflection of the force that has sustained his career for more than two decades: the enduring connection between artist and audience.
On June 13, Kim brought that idea to life during the second night of “2026 XIA 6TH ASIA TOUR CONCERT ‘GRAVITY’ IN SEOUL” at KSPO DOME in Seoul’s Olympic Park. The concert marked his first solo show in six months following “XIA 2025 CONCERT Chapter 2 : Festa” and celebrated the release of his fifth full-length album, his first studio album in a decade.
The occasion carried added significance as Kim returned to KSPO DOME for the first time since his 2016 concert “XIGNATURE,” revisiting one of the most symbolic stages of his solo career.
Built around all 16 tracks from GRAVITY, the concert functioned as both a full-scale album showcase and a fan-centered live experience. Rather than simply presenting new material, Kim shaped the evening into a conversation between past and present, highlighting the artistic range that has defined his work as both a singer and a musical actor.
The opening segment spotlighted the album’s diverse sonic palette. Dance-driven tracks such as “Beat’s Knockin’” and “eXtreme Love” combined emotional melodies with dynamic choreography, while band-oriented songs including “HANA” and “Pit a Pat” added brighter textures and youthful energy.
The emotional core of the evening emerged through performances of “Forest of Memories” and “My Night.” Moving between warmth and melancholy, Kim’s distinctive vocal tone revealed the contrasting emotional landscapes that have long characterized his music, drawing some of the strongest reactions from the audience.
“I realized it had been 10 years since my last full-length album, and I felt both apologetic and responsible,” Kim told the audience. “I spent a year creating an album I could truly be proud of. I wanted to bring that sincerity to this stage. Let’s enjoy this together.”
The middle section shifted toward the emotional signature that has become synonymous with Kim’s solo career. Songs such as “Slowly” and “How Are You After Goodbye” showcased the dramatic storytelling and emotional depth that connect his recording work with his acclaimed musical theater career.
The atmosphere deepened through performances of “Homage,” “I’ll Wait for You Through the Twenty-First Season,” “Reach” and “Red Diamond.” Delivered with measured confidence and vocal restraint, the sequence reaffirmed Kim’s reputation as one of K-pop’s most expressive and enduring vocalists.
The final stretch revisited the performance-driven side of his catalog. “XIAHTIC,” a signature self-composed track associated with an earlier chapter of his career, brought back the sharp charisma and intensity that first established his reputation as a commanding performer. “ROCK THE WORLD” followed with explosive energy, underscoring his continued ability to dominate a large-scale arena stage.
That momentum carried directly into the encore performance of “GRAVITY.” Backed by heavy bass lines and sweeping synthesizer arrangements, Kim delivered a polished dance performance that demonstrated why he remains one of the industry's most compelling live entertainers.
“I always worry before the opening of a concert,” he said. “But once the show begins, I find myself enjoying it more than anyone. Today was the same. I think I was able to do well thanks to your energy.”
He continued, “Whenever I plan my musical productions and brand concerts each year, I worry about whether the seats will be filled. The fact that so many of you are still here after more than a decade, sharing this music and these moments with me, is something I am deeply grateful for.”
Kim closed the evening with fan-favorite songs including “Sakuranbo” and “INCREDIBLE,” spending the final moments celebrating alongside the audience that has remained at the center of his journey.
Following the Seoul concerts, Kim will continue his “GRAVITY” Asia tour with upcoming stops in Tokyo, Osaka and Hong Kong beginning in July.
