Three of HYBE's most globally recognized girl groups are joining forces for what could become one of the summer's biggest K-pop collaboration events.
On June 9, Source Music, BELIFT LAB and HYBE x Geffen Records unveiled the music video teaser for "ICONIC BY MISTAKE," a special collaboration single by LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE, through the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel.
The teaser delivers a surreal blend of horror imagery and playful energy. LE SSERAFIM races forward before casually taking a seat atop a gravestone, while ILLIT flees intense surveillance only to find itself in the middle of a bizarre dental procedure. KATSEYE appears amid fierce winds, flashing smiles and braces as screams echo through the chaotic sequence. The scenes unfold at breakneck speed, creating an eerie yet mischievous atmosphere that immediately grabs attention.
The visual concept expands on the bold creative identities showcased in LE SSERAFIM's "BOOMPALA," ILLIT's "It's Me" and KATSEYE's "PINKY UP." Rather than simply combining three fan-favorite acts, the project reimagines each group's distinctive style through a chilling summer-horror lens. Siren-like synthesizers, pounding beats and alternative-pop production further heighten the sense of suspense and excitement.
More than a featured collaboration, "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" positions the three groups as a single powerhouse ensemble. The project highlights the scale of HYBE's girl-group roster while offering fans a rare opportunity to see three of the label's biggest global acts share one musical identity.
The collaboration arrives as all three groups continue to build momentum internationally. LE SSERAFIM recently extended its Billboard 200 Top 10 streak with its second full-length album, ILLIT has continued setting new personal bests across Billboard charts, and KATSEYE recently claimed three trophies at the American Music Awards, underscoring the trio's growing influence in the global market.
LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE will debut the collaboration on June 11 through M Countdown ahead of the single's official release on June 12.
