"Doctor on the Edge" Signals Turning Point for Lee Jae-wook and Shin Ye-eun as Love Triangle Takes Shape

A subtle but significant change is beginning to emerge in Doctor on the Edge, as Do Ji-ui finds himself increasingly aware of Yuk Ha-ri while a new romantic variable enters the picture.

ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama Doctor on the Edge released new stills on June 8 showing Do Ji-ui (Lee Jae-wook) watching Yuk Ha-ri (Shin Ye-eun) and Hyun Chi-yeon (Hong Min-ki) together during a medical rotation. The moment hints at a noticeable shift in Ji-ui's attitude, which had previously been defined by emotional distance and restraint.

Earlier episodes saw Ji-ui and Ha-ri gradually grow closer while caring for patients together. Ha-ri openly expressed her desire to help him, and her sincerity slowly began influencing Ji-ui in ways he had not anticipated.

In the newly released images, Ji-ui is seen lingering outside late at night carrying a delivery box, seemingly searching for a reason to contact Ha-ri. His hesitation reflects the growing uncertainty beneath his calm exterior. The situation becomes even more complicated when he watches Ha-ri spending time with Chi-yeon during their rotation assignment.

Chi-yeon has also begun showing a clear interest in Ha-ri, while Ha-ri appears increasingly conscious of his attention. As the dynamic among the three characters grows more complicated, questions are emerging over how Chi-yeon's presence will affect the developing relationship between Ji-ui and Ha-ri.

Beyond the romance, tensions continue to rise within the island community. Ji-ui once again finds himself at odds with village chief Lee Jang-su (Kim Gi-cheon), and newly released images hint at another confrontation that could further disrupt life on Pyeondong Island.

The production team stated, "Episode 3 will depict Ji-ui struggling to maintain balance as he adjusts to life on the island. A key event will serve as an important turning point in several relationships, and viewers should also pay attention to Ha-ri's growing role at the center of the story."
