Director Yeon Sang-ho's Colony remained No. 1 at the Korean box office for a 15th consecutive day.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network on June 5, Colony attracted 79,930 moviegoers on June 4, maintaining its position atop the daily box-office chart. Its cumulative admissions now stand at 4,123,671.
The film has continued its record-breaking run, reaching 1 million admissions on its fourth day of release, 2 million on day five, 3 million on day 10, and 4 million on day 14. It currently ranks as the second-highest-grossing Korean film of the year behind The King and the Man.
Colony follows a group of survivors trapped inside a quarantined building during a mysterious outbreak, forced to confront infected beings evolving into unpredictable forms. The film stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok and Ko Soo.
Wild Sing ranked second after drawing 40,462 moviegoers on Thursday, bringing its cumulative admissions to 222,535.
The comedy centers on Triangle, a once-chart-topping co-ed dance group that suddenly disbanded following an unexpected scandal. Twenty years later, the former members seize a rare chance at a comeback and embark on a bold bid to reclaim the spotlight. Performances by Kang Dong-won, Park Ji-hyun, Uhm Tae-goo and Oh Jung-se have generated strong word-of-mouth among audiences.
Third place went to Backrooms, which added 27,072 admissions for a cumulative total of 599,828.
The film follows Clark and Mary as they encounter unexplained phenomena inside a bizarre labyrinth of endless fluorescent lights and yellow walls.
Michael ranked fourth with 8,683 admissions, raising its cumulative audience total to 1,466,624.
The biographical drama chronicles the rise of Michael Jackson from musical prodigy to the King of Pop, featuring the legendary performances and songs that shaped popular music history.
Fifth place went to The Mandalorian and Grogu, which returned to the Top Five with 4,175 admissions. Its cumulative total now stands at 160,656.
The blockbuster adventure follows bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and Grogu as they embark on a galaxy-spanning mission that could alter their destinies.
