FIFTY FIFTY is stepping beyond the music stage and onto the silver screen.
The five-member group will make its collective acting debut through "After-School Exorcism Club: Girls' Night" (2026), a teen occult comedy that is already drawing attention as Korea's first short-form drama project to receive a theatrical release.
The film follows five high school girls who band together to eliminate a ghost haunting their school. It serves as the theatrical edition of the premium short-form drama "After-School Exorcism Club," which premiered on Kitts on May 22.
What makes the project particularly notable is that it was designed from the beginning as a multi-format content universe spanning film, mid-form series, and short-form drama. The story also shares its fictional universe with FIFTY FIFTY's fourth mini-album "Imperfect-I'mperfect," creating a unique crossover between the group's musical and screen activities.
The members' individual personalities and characteristics have been reflected throughout the script, allowing each character to showcase a distinct charm while strengthening the connection between the artists and the story itself.
The theatrical version goes beyond simply adapting a vertical-format short-form drama for cinemas. New animated sequences have been added to expand the narrative, visualizing the backstories of the ghosts hidden within the school's urban legends. The combination of live action and animation introduces a fresh storytelling approach rarely seen in Korean youth genre productions.
The poster's tagline, "A Cursed School, Chosen Girls," further heightens intrigue. Set against a haunting midnight school backdrop, the five members transform into high school students who confront supernatural forces lurking within campus ghost stories.
Keena plays Na Jin-sim, the school's lowest-ranking student and a gifted exorcist who can see spirits. Moon Chanel takes on the role of athletic standout Wang Sora, while Yewon portrays top-ranked perfectionist Choi Woo-su. Hana appears as Geum Jo-yeon, a quirky and lovable member of the school's broadcasting club, and Athena plays Jo A-young, an occult enthusiast and the only daughter of a prominent local family.
With FIFTY FIFTY making its first leap into acting and a groundbreaking theatrical release redefining the possibilities of short-form storytelling, anticipation is steadily building around what kind of chemistry the five members will bring to the big screen.
"After-School Exorcism Club: Girls' Night" opens exclusively at CGV theaters on June 25.
