Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun are returning to the world of A Shop for Killers this July, as Disney+ officially launches the next chapter of the hit action thriller with a larger scale, expanded mythology and even more stylish action.
A Shop for Killers Season 2 follows Jeong Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun), who has completed a brutal succession process and become the new leader of Murderhelp. Reunited with the seemingly returned Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook), she prepares to launch a full-scale counterattack against the global Babylon organization.
The newly unveiled “Re-Opening” poster highlights the series’ expanded world. Inside a warehouse packed with firearms, knives and various weapons, the true scale of Murderhelp is finally revealed. Unlike the first season, where the organization remained largely shrouded in mystery, the new season pulls back the curtain and places its dangerous world front and center.
The tagline, “The shop opens again,” hints at a fresh conflict emerging from a dramatically changed landscape. Standing together in front of the massive arsenal, Jin-man and Ji-an signal a new alliance that will shape the battles ahead.
The accompanying trailer showcases the return of the characters who helped make Season 1 a success while introducing formidable new enemies and bigger action sequences.
Particularly striking is Jin-man’s line to Ji-an: “This is my world, Jeong Ji-an.” The moment foreshadows Ji-an’s transformation as she fully embraces her role as the new leader of Murderhelp and steps deeper into the world of professional killers.
The conflict intensifies with the return of Bale (Jo Han-sun), whose long-standing rivalry with Jin-man continues to fuel the story. The arrival of mercenaries from Babylon’s East Asia branch raises the stakes even further, setting up unpredictable confrontations throughout the season.
Lee Dong-wook returns as Jin-man, while Kim Hye-jun reprises her role as Ji-an. Jo Han-sun also returns as Bale, alongside Geum Hae-na, Kim Min and Lee Tae-young, who once again play Min-hye, Pasin and Brother.
New cast members Jung Yoon-ha, Hyeonri and Masaki Okada join the series as powerful new villains, adding fresh layers of danger and suspense.
While the first season focused on Ji-an’s struggle to survive attacks from assassins seeking control of the shopping mall, the new season shifts toward Ji-an and Jin-man’s fight to protect their world. With its signature blend of stylish action and high-stakes tension elevated even further, Season 2 promises an even more explosive experience.
Director Lee Kwon, who successfully helmed the first season, returns once again to lead the series.
