Netflix series "If Wishes Could Kill" (2026) is rapidly gaining global traction, breaking into the Top 10 non-English TV shows at No.4 just three days after release. The series is emerging as a breakout K-horror title.
"If Wishes Could Kill" follows a group of high school students who receive sudden death warnings through a mysterious wish-granting app. As they struggle to survive the curse, the series blends supernatural horror with intense psychological tension. Since its release on April 24, it has recorded 2.8 million views (calculated by dividing total watch time by runtime) and ranked in the Top 10 across 37 countries, including Korea, Mexico, India, Malaysia, Thailand, the UAE, and Turkey.
Newly released stills highlight both the escalating danger and the characters’ resolve. Se-a (Jeon So-young), visibly shaken yet reaching for her phone, and Haet-sal (Jeon So-nee), aiming a bow despite bleeding, reflect the desperation and courage driving the narrative.
The story also explores the fractured relationship between Hye-ryeong (Kim Si-a) and Si-won (Choi Ju-eun), once inseparable friends now entangled in the curse. Meanwhile, the presence of Si-won’s mother, the shaman Eop-soon (Lee Sang-hee), adds another layer of unease and narrative depth.
Behind-the-scenes images provide contrast to the series’ dark tone, capturing the youthful chemistry among cast members. Jeon So-young, Kang Mi-na, Baek Sun-ho, Hyun Woo-seok, and Lee Hyo-je appear relaxed and natural together, resembling real classmates. Kim Si-a and Choi Ju-eun’s off-camera moments further highlight their strong on-screen connection.
Blending horror, youth, and emotional conflict, "If Wishes Could Kill" continues to expand its global reach as audiences follow the mystery behind the deadly curse.
