tvN rolls out another unconventional office romance as Filing for Love signals a volatile start from its premiere.
Set to air April 25, the series follows audit chief Joo In-a (Shin Hye-sun), who carries hidden motives, and Noh Gi-jun (Gong Myung), a top performer abruptly demoted overnight. Their entanglement drives a tightly wound “audit romance,” where discipline and disruption collide.
Directed by Lee Soo-hyun of He Is a Black Dragon, with writing support from Crash Course in Romance’s Yeo Eun-ho and creator Yang Hee-seung, the production assembles a reliable creative team. The cast lineup, including Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae-wook, and Hong Hwa-yeon, further reinforces expectations.
The newly released stills establish tone immediately. On her first day at Haemu Group, Joo In-a isolates herself from surrounding noise, focusing solely on her work. The scene positions her as a presence capable of unsettling the organization simply by entering it.
Her first encounter with Noh Gi-jun escalates quickly. Once a confident ace, he is reassigned to the audit department’s “disciplinary unit” following a single remark from In-a, marking an abrupt reversal of status. The shift from elite performer to problem handler becomes a key variable moving forward.
An unexpected incident after work further accelerates their connection. The contrast between In-a’s calculated composure and Gi-jun’s visible disorientation amplifies the tension.
The production team indicates that high-intensity developments will unfold from the outset, rapidly shifting the relationship between the two leads. The narrative will hinge on oscillation between conflict and cooperation, with emotional reversals driving engagement.
