Dancer Choi Hojong returns with his second solo performance.
According to MA Entertainment, 2026 CHOI HOJONG 2nd MOVENOTE
The title LIMBØ combines the concept of “limbo,” an unstable or suspended state, with the symbol Ø, suggesting emptiness or null. The performance is structured around a space that resists fixed meaning, where movement does not resolve into a single form.
Rather than presenting a narrative, the work focuses on transitional states. Movements emerge, collapse, and reorganize, forming a sequence of shifting physical conditions. The stage becomes a site where unstable sensations are sustained rather than resolved.
This approach extends from his previous solo NOWHERE, which emphasized continuity of presence within a limited temporal frame. That work established a format centered on uninterrupted performance and physical intensity.
NOWHERE marked a notable moment within the Korean dance field, both as a solo-driven structure and in its reception. The production sold out all performances within one minute of ticket release, indicating strong audience engagement with a non-narrative format.
With LIMBØ, the focus shifts toward further abstraction. The work positions the body as a medium through which unstable internal states are externalized, emphasizing the process of transformation rather than a final outcome.
As part of the MOVENOTE series, the performance functions as both documentation and continuation of the artist’s evolving choreographic language.
