The footage dominates public discourse, shaking both media and voter sentiment, and dismantling Prosecutor Bang Tae-seop’s (Ju Ji-hoon) carefully constructed election strategy.
Bang Tae-seop attempts to salvage his campaign by seeking support from the Changjo Party, but the fallout from the scandal forces the party to withdraw official backing, effectively eliminating him from the race.
The truth behind the footage soon emerges. Hwang Jung-won deliberately approached Chu Sang-ah, administered a substance to impair her consciousness, recorded the incident, and orchestrated its release. What initially appeared to be an isolated incident is revealed as a premeditated operation designed to influence the election.
Upon learning the full extent of the manipulation, Chu Sang-ah realizes she has been exploited for political gain. In a tense confrontation with Bang Tae-seop, the two exchange accusations, severing their relationship entirely.

Episode 9 recorded a nationwide rating of 3.3 percent, up from 2.9 percent the previous week.
Climax follows Prosecutor Bang Tae-seop as he enters a ruthless power cartel in pursuit of the highest position, navigating a brutal struggle for survival.
