ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama Climax intensifies its multi-layered power game, weaving politics, capital, and the entertainment industry into a sharper, more volatile narrative. Episode 7, aired on April 6, introduces a new funding axis outside Cha Joo-young’s sphere of influence, triggering a rapid realignment of alliances and stakes.
Bang Tae-seop (Ju Ji-hoon), newly repositioned within the Changjo Party, attempts a political comeback but is cornered as his financial pipeline is cut off under Lee Yang-mi’s (Cha Joo-young) sweeping pressure. At the same time, actress Chu Sang-ah (Ha Ji-won) is edged out of a film casting due to an investment structure influenced by Lee, placing her career on unstable ground. Forced into parallel crises, both turn to Jang, head of TG Corporation (Kim Young-min), who stands in opposition to Lee.
Negotiations with Jang, however, come at a cost. Bang is confronted with a humiliating yet pragmatic offer, while Chu is pushed toward an inevitable reckoning with Lee to salvage her career. The episode frames survival as a calculus of compromise, amplifying the show’s underlying tension.
Meanwhile, Lee Yang-mi, alongside Moon Bosal (Lee Chae-kyung), begins architecting the next phase of power, searching for a key figure dubbed the “tiger cub.” Bang emerges as a pivotal variable in this evolving structure, hinting at the rise of a new power axis. As interests collide across politics, capital, and entertainment, the drama sharpens its central question: who will ultimately control the board.
The 10-episode Climax follows prosecutor Bang Tae-seop as he steps into a cartel of power to reach the top, tracing the fierce survival strategies of those entangled around him.
