Global supergroup BTS has rewritten chart history with their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG,” holding the No.1 position on the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week.
According to Billboard, the album tops the April 11-dated chart, marking the first time a Korean artist has achieved back-to-back No.1 placements. The feat reinforces BTS’s sustained global impact beyond debut-week momentum.
“ARIRANG” earned 187,000 album units in its second week, including 114,000 in pure sales. Streaming equivalent albums (SEA) contributed 65,000 units, while track equivalent albums (TEA) added 8,000. Even with expected second-week adjustments, the album maintained commanding performance across all metrics.
While BTS previously secured six No.1 albums on the Billboard 200, all peaked for a single week. With “ARIRANG,” the group extends its chart longevity, setting a new benchmark for K-pop acts.
The album’s debut was equally dominant. It opened with 641,000 units, the highest weekly total for a group album since Billboard adopted its current unit system in 2014. Pure sales reached 532,000, ranking among the strongest weekly figures of the past decade.
The momentum continues worldwide. On Spotify, BTS achieved a second consecutive global triple crown, topping the weekly charts for Top Albums, Top Songs, and Top Artists.
The title track “SWIM” also sustains its impact. After debuting at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, it is projected to remain within the Top 10. In Korea, BTS secured nine music show trophies without promotional appearances, including wins on Inkigayo (The Music Trend), Show! Music Core, Music Bank, M Countdown, and Show Champion.
