Band DAY6’s Wonpil has unveiled a striking teaser for his title track, signaling a deeper and more intense artistic identity as a solo artist.
On March 28, JYP Entertainment released the music video teaser for “Love Ward,” the title track from Wonpil’s first solo mini album “Unpiltered,” via its official social media channels.
The teaser immediately draws attention with its restrained lighting and alternative rock sound. Wonpil delivers a nuanced performance, forcing a smile and attempting to fix a broken heart-like object, visually expressing emotional fracture and urgency.
“Love Ward,” co-written by Wonpil and K-pop hitmaker Lee Woo-min (collapsedone), appears to center on the enduring pain and desperation of love. The teaser translates this theme into a direct visual narrative, reinforcing the track’s emotional weight.
The darker tone suggests an expansion of Wonpil’s long-established emotional identity, built since DAY6’s debut in 2015. Through this solo project, his signature sensibility extends beyond sound into a more refined visual expression.
Wonpil will release his first solo mini album “Unpiltered” on March 30. He will then hold “WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ‘Unpiltered’” from May 1 to 3 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, continuing his full-scale comeback activities.
