The truth they tried to hide behind love finally breaks through, leaving irreversible cracks.
In the March 27 episode of MBC’s “In Your Radiant Season,” Song Ha-ran (Lee Sung-kyung) uncovers the long-concealed past of Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong-hyeop), pushing their relationship to the edge. The emotional tension surges as the story deepens into a more irreversible phase.
On his birthday, Sunwoo Chan prepares to finally tell the truth he has carried for years. Holding onto a record of fragmented memories from the past seven years, he resolves to confess. But before he can speak, everything is disrupted.
A sudden fire at a movie theater triggers his trauma, pulling him back into the fragmented memories of the Boston explosion. His unresolved conflict with Kang Hyuk-chan (Kwon Do-hyung) resurfaces, revealing the weight of a truth he has long buried. Once again, he remains silent, unable to cross the line between memory and confession.
The family storyline adds a quiet but heavy layer. Kim Na-na (Lee Mi-sook), who had concealed her illness, is eventually confronted by Park Man-jae (Kang Seok-woo). Diagnosed with hydrocephalus, she chooses surgery, while her daughters break down upon discovering the wedding dress and letter she leaves behind. The crisis binds the family closer together.
Meanwhile, Cha Soo-jin (Lee Joo-yeon) heightens the tension with increasingly suspicious actions, hinting at another hidden side of the past as Sunwoo Chan begins to search for answers.
The turning point arrives in the final moments. The “One-Inch Memory Notebook,” discovered by Song Ha-ran, pieces together the truth. Sunwoo Chan had known her long before, and his connection to Kang Hyuk-chan had been deliberately concealed. Overwhelmed by betrayal, Song Ha-ran confronts him, while he stands frozen, unable to respond.
As love and truth collide, the relationship reaches its breaking point, leaving the story poised for its most decisive turn.
