Global recognition and philanthropy align with Busan’s urban branding strategy
Actor-singer Lee Junho has been named an official ambassador for “2028 World Design Capital (WDC) Busan,” stepping into a role aimed at amplifying the city’s global design identity.
According to O3 Collective on March 27, Lee attended the appointment ceremony at Nurimaru APEC House in Haeundae, formally launching his ambassadorial activities.
The appointment leverages Lee’s international profile across music and acting to enhance Busan’s visibility on the global stage.
His ongoing philanthropic work, including his role as an ambassador for World Vision, aligns closely with the inclusive and community-driven values at the core of “2028 WDC Busan.”
“Through acting, I constantly think about how to design a character,” Lee said. “Design, to me, is a process that shapes the way we live and tells the story of a city. It is an honor to take part in this journey.”
Lee is expected to continue expanding his global presence while engaging audiences through a range of ambassadorial initiatives.
