Coupang Play’s comedy show “SNL Korea” is returning with Season 8, promising sharper satire and more fearless humor. The choice of the first host already signals the tone of the new season. Veteran entertainer Tak Jae-hoon, widely known for his unfiltered wit, will lead the premiere episode.
The new season premieres on March 28 at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play. Tak Jae-hoon, who has built a distinctive career across both music and variety entertainment, will appear as the first host of the season.
Tak Jae-hoon previously helped lead the show as a core crew member alongside Shin Dong-yup. Now, ten years later, he returns as a host, drawing attention to the chemistry he will create with the current cast.
Season 8 will once again feature the show’s trusted crew lineup including Shin Dong-yyp, Jung Sang-hoon, Jung Sung-ho, Kim Min-kyo, Ahn Young-mi, Jung Yi-rang, Lee Soo-ji, Kwon Hyuk-soo, Kim Won-hoon, Ji Ye-eun and Kim Gyu-won. Having produced Blue Dragon Series Awards rookies for three consecutive years, the program has also established itself as a gateway for rising comedy stars. With new crew members expected to join the season, attention is already turning to who might emerge as the next breakout star following Ji Ye-eun and the so-called “human copier” Kim Gyu-won.
