Siren's Kiss | Park Min-young’s “I Killed Them” Confession Shatters Wi Ha-joon’s Trust

The tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Siren's Kiss delivered another unpredictable twist, raising tension just as its central characters began to trust one another.

Episode 5, which aired on March 16, saw the fragile alliance between Han Seol-a and Cha Woo-seok begin to fracture again despite their agreement to cooperate in uncovering the truth. Park Min-young, who plays Han Seol-a, and Wi Ha-joon, who portrays Cha Woo-seok, drove the episode’s emotional momentum with performances that swung between suspicion and fragile trust.

The episode also continued its steady rise in ratings. It recorded a nationwide household average of 4.5 percent and a peak of 5.4 percent. In the Seoul metropolitan area, it reached an average of 4.7 percent and a high of 5.7 percent. Among viewers aged 20 to 49, the drama ranked first in its time slot across cable and general programming channels. (Nielsen Korea, paid platforms)

Cha Woo-seok’s emotional shift began at a funeral. After witnessing Han Seol-a collapse in grief at the funeral of her former lover Yoon Seung-jae, he slowly began to reconsider the suspicions he had long held against her.

While investigating the “Cheongun family fire incident,” which claimed the lives of Seol-a’s parents, Woo-seok learned about her tragic past. The discovery forced him to reflect on how quickly he had treated her as a suspect.

As the two later worked together to resolve a separate artwork damage case, their relationship moved in an unexpected direction. Despite suffering from trauma, Seol-a’s determination to uncover the truth unsettled Woo-seok’s doubts. Eventually, he revealed his first sign of trust, saying, “I want to try believing you.”

Seol-a also began to open up. She confessed her fear that someone might be behind the string of deaths involving men she had been involved with, raising the chilling possibility of an unseen culprit.

Based on this theory, Woo-seok proposed a risky plan: they would pretend to be a couple in order to lure the perpetrator into the open. Seol-a accepted, forming an uneasy alliance between them.

But the partnership quickly unraveled.

After discovering that Seol-a’s parents had taken out a life insurance policy naming her as the beneficiary, Woo-seok confronted her about the fire that killed them. In response, Seol-a delivered a shocking confession.

“I killed them.”

The chilling statement immediately cast doubt over everything that had happened before, leaving viewers questioning whether the confession was genuine or part of a deeper deception.

Another suspicious figure also emerged. Baek Jun-beom, a VIP client of Royal Auction, began drawing attention after investigators discovered the signature wine from Yoon Seung-jae’s restaurant in the space where he was staying.

His uneasy reaction to the growing closeness between Seol-a and Woo-seok only deepened the mystery. Kim Jung-hyun’s chilling gaze hinted at hidden motives beneath Baek Jun-beom’s calm exterior.

In one particularly tense moment, Seol-a and Woo-seok deliberately acted like a couple to provoke him. Baek Jun-beom’s hostile stare as he watched them, followed by the cold expression he revealed once alone, foreshadowed darker truths yet to surface.

As Seol-a’s past, Baek Jun-beom’s identity, and the truth behind the chain of deaths slowly unfold, Siren's Kiss continues to overturn expectations with each episode.
