IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun and Gong Seung-yeon have gathered in one place as anticipation grows for MBC’s new Friday–Saturday drama "Perfect Crown".
Set in a fictional 21st-century constitutional monarchy in Korea, "Perfect Crown" tells the story of a chaebol woman who has everything yet feels frustrated by her commoner status and a prince who is the king’s son but cannot possess what he desires. Their contract marriage becomes the starting point of a romance that challenges both destiny and social hierarchy.
The newly released group poster features chaebol Seong Hee-joo (IU), the royal family’s second son Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok), Prime Minister Min Jung-woo (Noh Sang-hyun) and Queen Dowager Yoon I-rang (Gong Seung-yeon). Standing before the traditional Irworobongdo folding screen, the four figures display distinct postures that highlight their different personalities and positions of power.
At the center, Hee-joo casually places her arm on Ian’s shoulder, while the prince leans naturally toward her. Although their marriage begins as a strategic contract meant to change their destinies, their body language suggests a growing sense of reliance between them.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Min Jung-woo and Queen Dowager Yoon I-rang face forward with commanding presence. As the marriage between Hee-joo and Ian is expected to significantly affect both politics and the royal family, attention is turning to how the four characters’ relationships will unfold.
The poster also reveals the drama’s unique aesthetic. Bonsai trees, ceramics, glass lighting and traditional door frames combine elements of tradition and modernity, offering a glimpse of the royal world that will appear in the series.
