SMTR25 trainees preparing for their debut will meet two legends of Korea’s entertainment industry for a one-of-a-kind masterclass.
Episode 4 of Mnet’s Reply High School, airing on March 6, will feature Egg Is Coming CEO Ko Joong-seok and star producer Na Young-seok as guest instructors. The two will lead special sessions covering economics, variety entertainment and fandom culture, offering practical insight for the SMTR25 members.
During the “economics” session led by Ko Joong-seok, the trainees’ quirky charm takes center stage. When Ko asks, “What is S&P?”, the members sincerely answer, “SM-style music…,” a response that leaves Ko Joong-seok visibly flustered. Their innocent confusion over a financial term is expected to deliver plenty of laughs.
The “variety” class led by Na Young-seok also heightens anticipation. When Na throws out a surprise question about how to behave when invited as a guest on a variety show, the trainees immediately respond, “Watch what you say.” Na shouts “Perfect score!” and smiles with satisfaction at the trainees’ quick instincts.
The program will also explore fandom culture. From understanding the mindset of idol fans to analyzing photo cards, a key element of modern fan culture, the segment is expected to offer both insight and entertainment for viewers.
Mnet’s Reply High School is a reality program that follows SMTR25 trainees as they complete various training missions on their path to becoming both artists and rising variety talents.
