Our Universe | Bae In-hyuk Leaves Roh Jeong-eui Behind to Protect Her and Woo-joo

Sun Tae-hyung (Bae In-hyuk) and Woo Hyun-jin (Roh Jeong-eui) brought their cohabitation to an emotional end in the latest episode of tvN’s Our Universe. The episode centered on Tae-hyung’s internal conflict as long-hidden truths about his family surfaced.

In the March 4 broadcast, Tae-hyung ultimately decided to leave the house in order to protect Hyun-jin and Sun Woo-joo (Park Yoo-ho). As he stepped away, Park Yoon-sung (Park Seo-ham) gradually began filling the space he left behind, heightening tension within the trio’s relationship.

The revelations surrounding past events pushed Tae-hyung into anger and betrayal. It was revealed that Sun Gyu-tae (Ryu Seung-soo) had approached them seeking the death insurance money of Sun Woo-jin (Ha Jun). Even more shocking was the fact that Gyu-tae had recently been released from prison after serving time for fraud.

Another truth uncovered at the police station shook Tae-hyung further. Gyu-tae, who had struggled with business failure and alcoholism and even resorted to violence, had been the reason Woo-jin placed Tae-hyung in an orphanage to protect him. Discovering traces of Woo-jin’s support for Tae-hyung’s dream of becoming a photographer since childhood left him in tears.

Regret soon followed. Tae-hyung remembered missing Woo-jin’s phone call on the day of the accident and wondered whether the call might have been meant to warn him about Gyu-tae’s release. Blaming himself for the deaths of Woo-jin and Woo Hyun-joo (Park Ji-hyun), he once again closed his heart under the weight of guilt. Ultimately, he chose to leave Hyun-jin and Woo-joo for their sake.

Meanwhile, Park Yoon-sung openly expressed his feelings for Hyun-jin. Saying he wanted to become a “strong umbrella” for her and Woo-joo, he even sought out Tae-hyung directly to emphasize that he might be the better choice. Watching Hyun-jin appear happier around Yoon-sung, Tae-hyung could only offer a bitter smile, leaving viewers wondering how the relationship between the three will unfold.

Hyun-jin herself remained conflicted. During Woo-joo’s daycare presentation, she recalled moments when both she and Woo-joo felt isolated among other children and families. Determined not to let Woo-joo experience the same loneliness she once felt, Hyun-jin struggled with her decision. At that moment, Yoon-sung appeared once again, hinting that the trio’s relationship had entered a new phase.
