Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi return as a stronger boxer duo. Jung Ji-hoon (Rain) makes a striking transformation into a formidable villain. The Netflix series Bloodhounds Season 2, which once showcased the power of K-action to global audiences, is set to return on April 3.

Season 1 of Bloodhounds told the story of two young boxers who fought back against the illegal loan shark world with their bare fists. Upon its release in 2023, the series immediately ranked No.1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 in the Non-English TV category.

During its first week alone, the series recorded approximately 28 million viewing hours and entered the Top 10 in more than 80 countries including Korea, proving the global appeal of the K-action genre.

Returning after three years, Season 2 expands the story beyond illegal loan sharks into a global illegal boxing league. Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) are expected to deliver evolved action sequences that promise intense impact and extreme catharsis.

More than anything, anticipation is rising for the stronger presence of Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi, along with Jung Ji-hoon’s bold transformation into a powerful villain.

In the teaser poster, Gun-woo and Woo-jin appear battered but determined, their clenched fists signaling the return of the young boxer duo who have grown stronger through countless fights. The phrase “Protect to the End, Bite to the End” hints at the relentless determination of the “bloodhounds” as they face greater dangers within the global illegal boxing league.

The teaser trailer released together with the poster foreshadows a life-or-death showdown. After defeating a brutal group of illegal loan sharks, Gun-woo continues to pursue his dream of becoming a boxing champion. Woo-jin, now serving as his coach, remains by his side, and the two share a bond like family, promising each other that they will “stay fierce together until the end.”

Through countless fights and intense training, Gun-woo’s punches grow even sharper, eventually leading him to victory as the two celebrate amid the cheers of the crowd. However, a new threat soon emerges, heightening tension for the duo who once believed they had nothing to fear as long as they were together.

A devastating force capable of destroying even boxing champions appears. Baek-jeong (Jung Ji-hoon) rules not on the glamorous boxing ring but within a dark underground league. For Baek-jeong, money is the ultimate goal and motivation, and he sets his sights on Gun-woo as his next target.

Facing the tightening threat, Gun-woo and Woo-jin prepare for battle, declaring that “to catch a beast, you must become more terrifying than the beast.” The second round of the bloodhounds’ life-risking fight is about to begin as they clash once again to protect what matters most.
