Yoo Soo-bin and Lee Yeon are set to showcase standout chemistry as the trusted aides who stand firmly beside the central couple in Perfect Crown.
Premiering this April on MBC, the Friday–Saturday drama follows Yoo Soo-bin as Choi Hyun and Lee Yeon as Do Hye-jung, key figures who support Sung Hee-joo, played by IU, and Grand Prince Ian, portrayed by Byeon Woo-seok. Both characters play pivotal roles in protecting and advising their respective superiors.
Choi Hyun serves as Grand Prince Ian’s aide, a man who hides fierce loyalty behind a gentle demeanor. Abandoned in front of the prince’s residence as a child, he was taken in by Ian and has since placed absolute trust in him. Beyond a formal ruler-subject bond, the two share a relationship that feels closer to family and friendship, adding emotional depth to the narrative.

Perfect Crown is a romance drama set against the backdrop of a 21st-century constitutional monarchy. It tells the story of a chaebol woman who seemingly has everything but remains constrained by her commoner status, and a king’s son who possesses royal lineage yet can claim nothing for himself.
