Hearts2Hearts shared meaningful reflections and bold aspirations as the group celebrated the first anniversary of its debut amid the steady success of its latest single.
On February 24, SM Entertainment released a Q&A through its official channels, capturing the members’ heartfelt thoughts on their first year and behind-the-scenes stories from promotions for the new single “RUDE!”.
The interview revisits the group’s journey over the past year, highlighted by an impressive sweep of nine Rookie of the Year awards, as well as the strong teamwork built by the eight members Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Jueun, Aina, Ian, and Yeon.
In particular, Yuha’s words, “We will become a Hearts2Hearts that our fans can be proud of,” and Jiwoo’s statement, “Honesty within confidence is our style,” heightened anticipation for the group’s distinctive musical path ahead. Their remarks reflect not only their close bond as members but also a clear sense of purpose as they aim for a new leap forward this year.
Meanwhile, Hearts2Hearts recently wrapped up its first solo fan meeting and continues to rank high on music charts with “RUDE!”, released on the 20th.
How do you feel about reaching your first anniversary since debut?
▲Jiwoo I still can’t believe it has already been one year since our debut. We were able to grow while receiving so much love, and I believe we came this far thanks to S2U, who have always supported us by our side.
▲Carmen I am so thankful to the fans who always support and love us. I’ve been truly happy, and I hope we can stay together for a very long time.
▲Yuha The past year has been filled with happy memories thanks to our fans. We will become a team our fans can be proud of so we can stay together for a long time.
▲Stella I can’t believe a year has already passed since our debut. I’m happy to have met our fans, and I will work hard to show a more grown side of myself.
▲Jueun We’ve built so many joyful memories, and our fans were always part of them. I hope we can create even more wonderful memories together.
▲Aina I’ve learned and felt so much while being with the members and our fans. I hope you will stay by our side for a long time.
▲Ian It was our first year spending time with our fans, and it was truly happy. I hope our fans were also happy being with us.

What is the most memorable moment since your debut?
▲Carmen Our first fan meeting. It was so touching that words can’t fully describe it. It felt like a dream, and every moment of laughing and crying became unforgettable.
▲Aina The showcase for our first mini album “FOCUS” is the most memorable. We prepared very hard, and I felt we became closer to our fans.
▲Yeon The “SMTOWN LIVE 2025” tour. It was a valuable experience to stand on the same stage as our senior artists during the company’s 30th anniversary year, and I learned so much.
“RUDE!” has received a hot response upon release. How do you feel?
▲Stella All of us loved the song from the first listen, and we’re happy it’s receiving so much love. I want to show its charm on many more stages soon.
▲Jueun We carefully thought about how to present something new and exciting to our fans, and this song came from that 고민. I feel very proud and grateful that it has ranked high on the music charts.
How did you prepare for the “RUDE!” stage and what should viewers look out for?
▲Yuha We focused a lot on synchronizing all eight members. We added many elements so that every part feels like a killing part.
▲Jueun I concentrated on bold facial expressions that match the title. I think you’ll be able to enjoy the stage without a single dull moment.
Are there any rules you keep among the members or rules you would like to create?
▲Stella We have a rule of shouting a team chant together before going on stage. It boosts our energy and confidence.
▲Ian I want to create a new rule where the person who arrives the latest when we gather has to receive a penalty.
▲Yeon To prevent laundry from piling up in the dorm living room, we practice putting clean clothes back into our own closets right away.
Among your self-produced content, what stands out most and what would you like to try?
▲Yuha I think our most natural and unembellished charm came out in “Girls’ Night.”
▲Jueun I liked the content themed around “Culinary Class Wars” because it had a skit-like feel. I would like to try more talk-focused or active content in the future.
What is Hearts2Hearts’ unique style that fans love?
▲Jiwoo I think it’s honesty within confidence. Fans seem to love the contrast between our bold presence on stage and our relaxed charm off stage.
▲Stella I believe the individual charms of all eight members blend together to create great synergy.
What goals do you want to achieve this year?
▲Carmen Staying healthy, meeting more fans, and reaching No.1 on the music charts.
▲Jiwoo Showing growth in both music and performance, and staying healthy together with the members.
A message to the members who will continue this journey and to the fans who always support you
▲Jiwoo Let’s stay healthy and be grateful for our busy days. I can’t imagine my life without our fans. I love you always.
▲Carmen I love the members who have always been by my side. And to our fans, No one knows how big my love for my fans truly is. Please don’t go anywhere.
▲Yuha Because we have each other, we were able to do everything well. I will never take the love we receive for granted and will continue to grow.
