K-pop group KiiiKiii shared meaningful Lunar New Year greetings with fans as they celebrated their first Seollal since debut.
KiiiKiii, consisting of Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeum, and Kiya, unveiled group images through their official SNS on Feb. 16 ahead of the holiday, filling the festive atmosphere with their signature free-spirited energy.
The concept paid homage to the 2006 MBC drama Princess Hours, which became a cultural phenomenon. The members captivated attention with diverse styling, ranging from school uniforms seen in the drama to green dangui, royal gonryongpo robes, and modern reinterpretations of traditional hanbok, creating five distinct looks. Their playful team chemistry was evident in shots where they gathered holding panels reading “Happy Lunar New Year,” while more formal greeting images revealed another side of their charm.
Individual photos also evoked retro nostalgia. Flip phones and wired earphones reinforced the Y2K mood, while props such as teddy bears and comic books that were popular during the drama’s original run heightened the nostalgic appeal. The visuals blended trendiness and retro sentiment, delivering what could be described as KiiiKiii’s signature Lunar New Year gift.
Through their agency Starship Entertainment, the group said, “It feels especially meaningful to celebrate Lunar New Year with Tiki, our official fan club, for the first time since debut. We are deeply grateful, especially after sharing good news since January.”
They added, “Through this album, we wanted to convey the message, ‘This year, in my own way, more boldly.’ We are proud that message seems to have reached many people. We hope everyone can set aside their worries during the holiday and spend happy moments with their loved ones.”
KiiiKiii made a confident debut last year with “I DO ME,” winning seven Rookie of the Year awards and establishing their presence. They continued their rise with the mini album released on Jan. 26, as its title track “404 (New Era)” reached No. 1 on Melon TOP100, marking a career high and securing three music show wins. Their appointment as the first promotional ambassadors for Seoul Color and collaboration with a global headwear brand further signal their expanding activity spectrum.
