A suffocating confrontation between Lee Na-young, Lee Chung-ah, and Seo Hyun-woo is set to unfold in Honor: Their Courtroom, as the truth behind a 20-year-old incident resurfaces and pushes tensions to a breaking point.
On February 16, the production team released stills ahead of the upcoming episode, showing Yoon Ra-young (Lee Na-young), Hwang Hyun-jin (Lee Chung-ah), and prosecutor Park Je-yeol (Seo Hyun-woo) locked in a tense three-way encounter. Park Je-yeol presses the two women with a cryptic smile, while Yoon Ra-young struggles to conceal her shaken emotions behind a hardened expression. Beside her, Hwang Hyun-jin watches with visible conflict, standing protectively by her friend.
Earlier episodes revealed the long-buried truth connecting Yoon Ra-young, Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-chae), and Hwang Hyun-jin through a violent incident two decades ago. Yoon Ra-young was brutally assaulted, and Hwang Hyun-jin swung a pipe to save Kang Shin-jae, who was being strangled. The man who fell into the lake that night was revealed to be Park Je-yeol, now a prosecutor and secretly the administrator of the illicit app Connect-in.
Unaware of his true identity, the three women have remained in the dark for 20 years. But after L&J publicly declared war on Connect-in during a live broadcast, Park Je-yeol stepped out of the shadows to launch his counterattack.
In the preview for episode 5, his intimidation escalates. His chilling question, “What would happen if your wife were an attempted murderer?” directly targets Hwang Hyun-jin’s most vulnerable secret. The appearance of a mysterious envelope containing a newspaper clipping about the disappearance of a Korean University law student, delivered to her detective husband Goo Sun-gyu (Choi Young-joon), signals an approaching storm.
The production team stated, “This confrontation is not a simple reunion, but a deadly psychological battle,” adding that viewers should watch closely to see how Park Je-yeol’s pressure begins to fracture the unity of L&J.
Episode 5 of Honor: Their Courtroom airs February 16 at 10 PM KST on ENA.
