NCT JNJM, the unit of NCT’s Jeno and Jaemin, has heightened anticipation by unveiling a film-like narrative through teasers for their debut album.
Recently, SM Entertainment released the mood film and teaser images for NCT JNJM’s first mini album “BOTH SIDES” via NCT’s official social media channels.
The content, themed around “duality,” unfolds the story of two members standing at the boundary between confrontation and coexistence in a multi-ending format, delivering the immersion of a short film.
In particular, the unveiled mood film sensorially portrays a chase and face-off between chic office worker Jeno and free-spirited Jaemin. Through the device of a coin toss, the narrative organically branches into contrasting endings: becoming “iconic rivals” or leaving the organization in pursuit of “freedom.” This structure stimulates curiosity about the multidimensional message the album aims to convey.
The storyline is further amplified through visual contrast. The orderly Jeno and the unrestrained Jaemin not only prove the unit’s unique visual synergy but also imprint the concept of “BOTH SIDES” in a direct and intuitive manner.
With such cinematic teasing content, NCT JNJM is drawing attention to the distinctive musical color of their first unit album, which consists of six tracks.
Meanwhile, NCT JNJM’s first mini album “BOTH SIDES” will be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 23rd.
