Lee Na-young delivered a performance so dense and unrelenting that viewers could not look away for a single moment.
In ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama Honor: Their Courtroom, Lee, who plays Yoon Ra-young, pushed Episodes 3 and 4 to an emotional peak. Grief, anger, guilt and a near-manic determination intertwined as she convincingly portrayed the character’s twisted inner turmoil, once again drawing praise that “Lee Na-young proves her class.”
In earlier episodes, Yoon Ra-young refused to stop even after losing Jo Yoo-jung, played by Park Se-hyun, in a tragic incident. After being attacked by an assailant, she declared, “I cannot stop. If I stop, I die.” The line laid bare the character’s desperate resolve. Lee captured unbreakable will beneath fear-stricken eyes, heightening the suffocating tension.
As the DNA issue surfaced, a new crisis emerged. Torn between her conviction as a legal professional and her obsessive need to protect what must be safeguarded, Yoon ultimately made a dangerous choice. Lee conveyed the moment of conflict and decision through subtle shifts in expression, delicately revealing cracks within the character.
Following Jo Yoo-jung’s death, the emotional arc exploded further. Convinced through the suicide note that it was murder, Yoon’s gaze blended self-blame, fury and a resolve bordering on vengeance. Rather than breaking down in tears, her cold restraint left an even deeper impact, intensifying viewer immersion.
The highlight of the episode came during a live broadcast in which Yoon publicly declared war against Connect In. Her fearless provocation was met with a warning that her enemies knew the past of all three individuals involved, plunging the narrative into an even fiercer spiral.
Meanwhile, Park Je-yeol, played by Seo Hyun-woo, revealed his true identity, delivering another shock. Yoon’s frozen expression as she confronted the truth of her past trauma brought the episode to a chilling close. In mere seconds of silence, Lee embodied the character’s crumbling interior, proving her mastery of powerful endings.
Risking everything to pursue the truth, Yoon Ra-young stands at the center of the drama’s surging intensity. As past and present collide before a massive hidden truth, attention turns to what choice she will ultimately make.
Episode 5 of Honor: Their Courtroom airs on February 16 at 10 p.m. on ENA and will also be available on KT Genie TV and Coupang Play.
