Lim Yoona has added another meaningful accolade to her career.
On February 10, she attended CJ ENM’s Visionary awards ceremony and received the ‘2026 Visionary’ award in recognition of her role in the hit drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. The honor reflects the series’ artistic achievement, widespread buzz, and strong commercial performance.
In the drama, Lim portrayed Yeon Ji-young, a French chef who time-slips to the past at the peak of her life. She trained in cooking for months before filming to bring realism to the role, delivering a layered performance that traced the character’s emotional growth through food. Her portrayal, balancing romance, growth, and heartfelt emotion, resonated deeply with viewers.
Driven by her performance, the series achieved notable ratings success. The finale recorded 17.4 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area with a peak of 20 percent, and 17.1 percent nationwide with a peak of 19.4 percent, according to Nielsen Korea. It ranked No. 1 among miniseries aired in 2025.
Internationally, the response was equally strong. The drama topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV Non-English category for two consecutive weeks and ranked third in worldwide Netflix viewing hours among all series in the second half of 2025, underscoring the continued global momentum of Korean dramas.
In her acceptance speech, Lim expressed deep affection for the project and her character. “It was incredibly enjoyable to portray Yeon Ji-young, who remains strong and wise without losing her dreams in any situation,” she said.
She added that the theme of food initially drew her to the project and that the drama reminded her of food’s power to bring people together. Thanking the production team, staff, and fellow actors, she concluded by expressing gratitude to viewers around the world who love Korean culture and dramas, promising to continue exploring diverse projects in the future.
The CJ ENM Visionary awards, launched in 2020, recognize individuals and works that present new visions for the Korean entertainment industry. Winners are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of commercial performance, platform contribution, public recognition, IP sustainability, and character impact across CJ ENM’s content in broadcasting, film, music, and OTT platforms.
