A simmering office romance teetered on the edge of exposure in the latest episode of Positively Yours, as tension spiked with a shocking pregnancy accusation that left viewers reeling.
In Episode 8, aired February 8, Doo-joon (Choi Jin-hyuk) and Hee-won (Oh Yeon-seo) finally confirm their feelings and begin a secret relationship at work. The sweetness is unmistakable at first. Hee-won arrives at the office in a bright dress, unable to hide her excitement, while Doo-joon goes out of his way to bring coffee and cake during break time and even creates a makeshift “nap time” for the visibly exhausted Hee-won. Their attempts to stay discreet only make their affection more obvious, blending lighthearted humor with fluttering romance.
The mood peaks during a late-night overtime date in an empty office, delivering classic romantic comedy charm. Yet beneath the sweetness lies unresolved pain. When Hee-won gently asks why Doo-joon avoids holding hands, he confesses to lingering trauma from a past accident, admitting that even brief physical contact can make his body tense. Haunted by guilt over his brother’s death, Doo-joon reveals a deeply personal wound. Hee-won responds not with words but with quiet comfort, patting his back. She, in turn, opens up about her fear of marriage rooted in her parents’ divorce, deepening their emotional bond.
Meanwhile, Jung-eum (Baek Eun-hye) emerges as a clear threat. Approaching Hee-won while needling Doo-joon with pointed remarks like, “So, are you holding hands now?” she signals her intent to undermine him. Doo-joon confronts her directly, warning, “If you go after Jang Hee-won, I won’t stay silent. I protect what’s mine,” drawing a sharp line of confrontation.
