BTS has demonstrated surging global anticipation ahead of its new album release, posting remarkable numbers across major Spotify metrics.
On Feb. 4, Big Hit Music announced that the group’s fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" surpassed 3 million pre-saves on Spotify. At the same time, it ranked No. 1 for two consecutive weeks on the platform’s Global Countdown Chart, dated Jan. 21 and Jan. 28.
The figure follows a steep upward trajectory, reaching 1 million within two days of opening and 2 million by day four. It marks the second-highest pre-save total on record, trailing only the approximately 6 million achieved by Taylor Swift for her 12th studio album.
The numbers align with other indicators of the group’s resurgence, including a sharp rise in Weverse membership following the announcement of a full-group comeback and world tour. Legacy tracks such as "Yet To Come" and "Love Maze" have also earned platinum and gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, reinforcing expectations for a strong return.
BTS will release its fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" on March 20. The following day, the group will hold a standalone performance, "BTS Comeback Live ARIRANG," at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, which will be broadcast live globally through Netflix.
