Single’s Inferno 5 has proven itself to be a record-breaking season, setting new highs for two consecutive weeks and reaffirming the enduring strength of the dating reality franchise.
The series is strongly captivating viewers around the world. More than any previous season, the singles’ candid confidence and fearless flirting, along with constantly shifting love lines and tangled emotions, have amplified both excitement and anticipation. The arrival of “double catfish” newcomers Joy Geon and Lee Ha-eun, as well as emotions reaching their limits among the cast, has further intensified global buzz.
According to Netflix’s Top 10 website on Feb. 4, the show recorded 3,900,000 views, calculated by dividing total viewing hours by the title’s runtime, and 37,300,000 viewing hours between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1. It maintained the No. 2 position in the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows category. It ranked No. 1 in Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and entered the Top 10 in 26 countries including Taiwan, Brazil, Japan, and Morocco, underscoring its worldwide popularity.
The five MCs Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun, Hanhae, and Dex, along with the production team, had emphasized that this would be a “record-breaking season,” and the results have proven their confidence. Producers Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun, and Park Su-ji said, “Even in our fifth season, receiving consistent love from fans feels like a miracle,” adding that they will continue listening closely to viewers and strive to create better content.
Episodes 11 and 12 of Single’s Inferno 5 will be available exclusively on Netflix on Feb. 10.
