The full group return stage of BTS, widely called a 21st century pop icon, will be broadcast live to living rooms in more than 190 countries through Netflix, marking the group’s first complete comeback in three years and nine months.
On Feb. 3, Netflix and HYBE officially announced that BTS’ new album release showcase “BTS Comeback Live ARIRANG” will be streamed exclusively in real time at 8 p.m. on March 21.
The live event will take place at Gwanghwamun Plaza, one of Seoul’s most symbolic landmarks, sharing the group’s fifth full album comeback stage “ARIRANG” with fans around the world without time differences.
It is particularly meaningful as Netflix’s first-ever live event produced in Korea and distributed worldwide. All seven members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will perform new tracks, delivered globally through Netflix’s infrastructure without spatial or temporal limits.
The excitement continues with a documentary. Scheduled for release on March 27, “BTS The Return” follows the intense album production process in Los Angeles and captures the members’ candid inner thoughts. Directed by Bao Nguyen of “The Greatest Night in Pop,” the film closely documents their struggles and renewed start as they reunite as one team after a long hiatus.
The collaboration is seen as a combination of HYBE’s multi-platform strategy and Netflix’s effort to diversify its IP portfolio. Rather than simple licensing, the partnership suggests a structural shift in global entertainment distribution.
BTS will also launch the “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ (2026 to 2027),” visiting 34 regions across Asia, North America, Europe and South America for a total of 82 concerts.
