HYBE and Geffen Records’ joint global girl group KATSEYE is extending its “dual-track” success across the UK and US charts, reinforcing its standing in the global pop market just ahead of the Grammy Awards.
On Jan. 31, HYBE cited the latest Official Singles Chart Top 100 dated Jan. 23 to 29 and the latest Billboard Hot 100 results, noting that the group has locked in a simultaneous long-run performance with both new and catalog tracks.
The group’s sustained popularity is especially visible in the UK. “Internet Girl” ranked No. 61 on the Official Singles Top 100, marking its fourth consecutive week on the chart.
Even more encouraging is the renewed traction of “Gabriela,” a track from the group’s second EP. Seven months after release, the song re-entered at No. 78 and extended its cumulative run to 18 weeks, signaling a stable local listener base rather than a short-lived trend.
Momentum is equally firm in the United States, the world’s largest pop market. On the latest Hot 100 dated Jan. 31, “Gabriela” ranked No. 27 while “Internet Girl” placed No. 85. Landing two songs with more than six months between their release dates on the main chart at the same time underscores the synergy between new listeners and the existing fandom.
These objective indicators further solidify KATSEYE’s status ahead of the 68th Grammy Awards, set for Feb. 1 local time.
Nominated in two major categories including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the group has demonstrated through its chart performance that it holds both the qualifications and competitiveness of a serious contender, going beyond mere buzz.
KATSEYE is also scheduled to attend the ceremony in Los Angeles and deliver a special stage performance.
