i-dle is set to release their new song "Mono" on the 27th, opening 2026 with a deep black-and-white sensibility after shedding their signature vibrant colors.
On the 20th, Cube Entertainment announced through its official channels that i-dle (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua) had unveiled the teaser video titled "Play the whole world in Mono" for their upcoming digital single "Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)", officially beginning the countdown to their comeback.
The released teaser highlights a striking monotone visual style, as if the entire world has been painted in black and white, perfectly echoing the album’s title. This minimalist aesthetic stands in sharp contrast to the group’s previously flamboyant and colorful imagery, suggesting a calmer yet deeper musical transformation and heightening fans’ anticipation.
This new release marks i-dle’s domestic comeback approximately eight months after their 8th mini album "We are". For this project, the group has teamed up with rising British rapper Skaiwater, signaling a bold and experimental shift in direction. Attention is focused on what kind of “unfamiliar resonance” will be created by the meeting of Skaiwater’s distinctive tone and trendy sensibility with i-dle’s musical identity.
Meanwhile, i-dle’s digital single "Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)" will be released on the 27th at 6 p.m. KST through major online music platforms.
