“I can see how much time my mother has left.”

The healing film Number One has heightened anticipation for its release by unveiling its main trailer and character posters.

Number One tells the story of Hamin (Choi Woo-shik), who begins to see a number that decreases by one every time he eats his mother’s food. When he realizes that his mother, Eunsil (Jang Hye-jin), will die once the number reaches zero, he desperately struggles to protect her.

The main trailer opens with a calm yet deeply resonant narration by Choi Woo-shik: “We are strange. When we face danger, instead of saying ‘save me’ or ‘help me,’ we call for our mother first.” The line immediately draws strong emotional empathy.

It then shows Hamin confessing his secret to his girlfriend, Ryeo-eun. Another scene follows in which Ryeo-eun says to Eunsil, “Let’s try trusting Hamin once.” These moments raise curiosity about the choices they will make to protect Eunsil. The question of whether they can escape the curse symbolized by the numbers and save their beloved family adds tension throughout the trailer, heightening immersion.

The dense emotional performances of Choi Woo-shik, Jang Hye-jin, and Gong Seung-yeon leave a powerful impression even in the trailer alone, further amplifying expectations for the film.

Along with the main trailer, three character posters for Number One were also released. Featuring the representative images of Hamin, Eunsil, and Ryeo-eun, the posters include copy lines that hint at each character’s personality and narrative, deepening curiosity.

Hamin’s character poster captures Choi Woo-shik with tear-filled eyes and a grave expression as he stares into the distance. The line, “When the number becomes zero, my mom dies. What do you think I should do?” vividly conveys his fear and emotional turmoil as he faces the possible loss of his mother.

Eunsil’s poster contrasts Jang Hye-jin’s warm smile with the line, “I know you’re busy, but who else would I talk to if not you?” expressing a mother’s quiet longing and affection. It naturally reveals the ordinary yet lovable humanity of Eunsil.

Ryeo-eun’s poster, portrayed by Gong Seung-yeon, features the line, “Do you have a secret you can’t tell me?” along with a firm and resolute expression. It raises curiosity about the role she will play and what changes she will bring to the relationship between Hamin and Eunsil.

With its deeply emotional main trailer and character posters highlighting the powerful performances of Choi Woo-shik, Jang Hye-jin, and Gong Seung-yeon, Number One is set to be released nationwide on February 11.
