Singer Car, the garden once again solidified his presence as an “emotional icon” by successfully concluding his solo concert.
Car, the garden held his solo concert “BLUE HEART” on January 17 and 18 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, sharing two days of deep musical communion with his fans. The concert centered on his latest EP of the same name, Blue Heart, released on December 16, and unfolded as a refined live performance that expanded the album’s narrative and emotional depth.
During the show, he presented tracks from the new EP such as “LOVERS,” “Gyulpicha (귤피차),” “Gamanhi Gamanhi (가만히 가만히),” and “Monsangga Ajeossi (몽상가 아저씨),” alongside his signature songs including “Gakkaun Deut Meon Geudaeyeo (가까운 듯 먼 그대여),” “Namu (나무),” and “Myeongdong Calling (명동콜링).” The audience responded with enthusiastic applause throughout. The addition of “6 To 9,” performed on stage after a long time, brought both freshness and a sense of nostalgia to the overall setlist.
In particular, “Geudae Jageun Naui Sesangi Doeeo (그대 작은 나의 세상이 되어),” which has recently drawn renewed attention after being used as background music for the Tving original series Transit Love 4, stood out as a highlight of the night. As the song re-entered the music charts, its live rendition resonated deeply with the audience and elevated the emotional peak of the concert.
The stage production focused on delicately expressing Car, the garden’s signature lyrical world. Through restrained and understated direction, the emotions and messages embedded in each song were clearly conveyed, while the winter-like atmosphere heightened immersion throughout the performance. Music, space, and emotion blended organically, leaving lasting impressions on the audience.
The EP Blue Heart symbolically explores humanity’s purest emotions. It conveys the message that feelings born from love and kindness can sometimes become intense and even dangerous, all expressed through Car, the garden’s uniquely warm yet profound sensibility. Since its release, the album has continued to receive favorable reviews.
Meanwhile, Car, the garden is set to appear in a new Netflix variety show produced by PD Na Young-seok’s team, titled Why on Earth Do We Go Hiking?. Expanding his activities beyond music into entertainment, he is expected to continue expressing his distinct artistic color across various fields.
