CATCH THE YOUNG are set to present a new chapter in their musical journey with the release of their debut full-length album EVOLVE.
On January 19, Evermore Entertainment announced that Catch the Young (Kang Sani, Ahn Ki-hoon, Kim Nam-hyun, Lee Jun-yong, and Choi Jeong-mo) would release their first studio album EVOLVE at 6 p.m. the same day.
EVOLVE is the crystallization of the band’s signature “Youth Pop-Rock” identity. All five members took the lead in writing and composing all 14 tracks, organically capturing the emotions of youth including anxiety, growth, and hope through a unified musical narrative.
The album features two contrasting title tracks. “Amplify” highlights the band’s natural groove by minimizing artificial programming, delivering the raw and powerful energy of their live performances. The second title track, “Sail,” lyrically conveys the determination of youth to move forward even in rough waves, built upon an alternative rock sound.
The messages of the title tracks expand further through a diverse range of genres in the b-sides. “Stay In The Dream” blends neo-soul and funk rhythms, “I’m Already In Love With You” adds jazz-inspired textures, “Hurricane” delivers an intense rock sound, and “Better Days” offers comfort and encouragement. Together, these tracks reflect the multifaceted emotional spectrum of youth.
This musical depth stems from the band’s accumulated live experience at major festivals such as the Pentaport Rock Festival and the Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (JUMF), as well as their own solo concerts. Catch the Young aim to solidify their identity as a “live performance–specialized band” by channeling the energy honed on stage directly into this album.
Meanwhile, Catch the Young will release EVOLVE at 6 p.m. on January 19 and hold a fan showcase at 8 p.m., officially launching their full-scale promotional activities.
