G-DRAGON is set to once again demonstrate his stature as a true global icon, moving seamlessly from Europe to Southeast Asia. After making headlines in Paris, he will take center stage in Malaysia, illuminating Kuala Lumpur with his presence.
On January 15, Galaxy Corporation announced that G-DRAGON will appear as the main headliner at “K-SPARK in Malaysia 2026,” scheduled to be held on January 31 (local time) at Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur.
This appearance is particularly meaningful as it marks his third consecutive year being selected as the festival’s main artist. The organizers emphasized that G-DRAGON best embodies the festival’s slogan, “The spark turns into a wildfire,” highlighting him not merely as a performer but as a symbolic figure who represents the very identity of K-SPARK.
The venue, Stadium Merdeka, is a historic landmark where Malaysia’s declaration of independence took place. Performing on such a significant stage, G-DRAGON is expected to captivate local audiences with his unparalleled stage presence and commanding performance style. Having already proven his massive influence across Asia through sold-out shows in Bangkok and unforgettable performances in Vietnam even under heavy rain, anticipation is high for what he will present in Kuala Lumpur.
G-DRAGON’s start to 2026 has been nothing short of explosive. Prior to the Malaysia event, he will appear on January 22 at the charity gala “Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes” at La Défense Arena in Paris. He has been invited for the second consecutive year, becoming the first Korean artist to achieve this distinction at the prestigious European charity event.
From European charity stages to headlining one of Asia’s largest K-festivals, his relentless global activity is expected to further ignite excitement ahead of his first-ever solo fan meeting, scheduled to be held in Seoul this February.
Meanwhile, G-DRAGON will hold his fan meeting, “2026 G-DRAGON ‘FAM’ MEETING [FAM+ILY : FAMILY : FAM I LOVE YOU],” from February 6 to 8 at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Seoul. Tickets will open on January 21 at 8 p.m. via Interpark Ticket (NOL Ticket) and will be available exclusively to b.stage membership holders.
